Dia de los Muertos Exhibition, Now-Nov 7 – Longmont Museum
The Dia de los Muertos exhibition will be in the Museum’s Swan Atrium – a two-story space full of light – and will showcase traditional gigantes, giant puppets made by local artists. Altars for the dead, created by members of the community, will also be a central part of the exhibit.

Art & Sip: Mini Altar Building Workshop – Oct 26, 6:30 pm, Longmont Museum
Grabbing and drink and Thursday night art classes for adults. Beer, wine, and specialty drinks will be available for purchase in the Atrium Bar. This is your chance to experience Día de los Muertos while learning about the symbolic steps that go into building an altar. Bring a photograph of a departed loved one and any special mementos to include on your altar! Learn more and register at or call 303-651-8374.

Volunteer Sugar Skull Making Day – October 29, 1-4pm – Longmont Museum
Drop into this family-friendly event and learn to make sugar skulls! You will help make sugar skulls that will be decorated during the November 4 family celebration. Children will require adult assistance. We will begin making sugar skulls at 1pm and will continue until the sugar runs out! No registration.

Halloween Party at the Longmont Y – Oct 26, 5:30-7:30pm – Longmont YMCA
Join the Longmont YMCA for the Halloween Party of the season! Offering a safe, fun environment for families to enjoy the scariest time of year. Hundreds of spookily, adorably costumed families will converge to dance, create, jump, play and enjoy a sweet treat or two. The Halloween Party also offers carnival games, crafts, a bounce house, and more! Free to members and non-members. Food and some activities may require cash.

Haunt in the ‘Mont – Oct 28, 5-9pm – Downtown Longmont
Haunt in the ‘Mont is an adult “business crawl” through Downtown Longmont. Ticket holders can use their ticket to redeem complimentary food, drink, and other “treats”. The event is Halloween themed and costumes are encouraged. There will be a costume contest with great prizes donated by local businesses! 100% of the proceeds from this event will go directly to the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley and will benefit our local schools!

Downtown Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat Street – Oct 28, 10am-12pm – Main Street, Longmont
Come with children of all ages in your Halloween costumes to trick or treat at participating merchants along Main Street! Enjoy live music throughout the route. No registration required!

Spooky Village Halloween – Oct 29, 1pm-3pm – Village at the Peaks, Longmont
Meet us in the Village for our inaugural Spooky Village Halloween Event! Participate in events including trick or treat stops, wagon rides, unicorn carousel, face painting, Halloween crafting, pumpkin decorating, spooky train rides, and more! Admission is free!

Spooky Pet Parade – Oct 29, 12pm-1pm- Village at the Peaks, Longmont 
Join in the festivities at the inaugural Chuck & Don’s Spooky Pet Parade! The parade leaves at noon and the route includes photo ops, treats and more. Afterwards stay for Barks, Brats, Brews, and Boos benefiting the Longmont Humane Society and sponsored by Whole Foods! Make sure to register your pet beforehand on the Spooky Halloween Event Website for a chance to win $500 valued gift basket!
